Three unmasked bandits robbed the Hunt general store at Stewartsville on May 12 subduing owners Mr and Mrs Charles Aiser. The burglars escaped after taking more than 400 dollars in cash and merchandise and cutting village telephone wires. Authorities have no clues to identify the suspects.
Guards escorted John Bryant Richard Rhodes and John Hedricks to Columbus penitentiary after Judge A P Miller sentenced them to die on September 2. Hedricks remained calm during the transport and the parting with his children drew pity. Hedricks' wife and children visited the county jail. relatives sought meetings with Rhodes, who was taken to the penitentiary before a visiting aunt arrived with a flower.
Secretary of the Treasury Andrew Mellon at age 71 will deliver his political speech in support of Senator George Wharton Pepper seeking renomination against Governor Pinchot and Representative Vare. Mellon will travel to Pittsburgh Friday night to appear on the platform.

Cleveland May 12 The county coroner attributed the death of Dr. Joseph P. Bibeau a Cleveland facial surgeon to accidental poisoning after a delay. An overdose of veronal used to induce sleep caused his death ten days ago amid mysterious circumstances.
