Monroe B. Tucker was killed and his wife seriously injured when their car stalled on a crossing near Athens Lumber Company as train No. 5 struck it. Their daughter Fern survived with minor injuries. Mrs. Tucker was taken to Grant hospital. Tucker’s body taken to Andrews. The crossing offers poor visibility due to nearby buildings and a siding car. Tucker, 41, leaves a widow and three children.
