Prior Board Agreement Is Produced

Gallia County officials face a $42 500 shortfall in highway repairs after a misunderstanding over a blanket easement tied to the Eureka dam project. The prior board signed a $2 175 claim for Clay Chapel Yellowtown Road, but engineers say it covered all Gallia County road rights due to higher water. Additional restorations at Northup Yellowtown, Chillicothe Bridge, and Kger Bridge are proposed, with counts for new structures and upgrades. The engineers have refused to approve the claims, and the matter goes to County Prosecutor John Howell for consideration.
