College Day Plans for Athens High School May Event
The Athens High School guidance program announces a College Day in May for juniors and undecided seniors. Ten schools including Capital University Kent State Marietta Muskingum Ohio State Ohio U Rio Grande University of Cincinnati Marshall and Wittenberg will be represented May 18 with OU admissions director Jerry Reese. The day opens with a general assembly then group discussions on college topics.

Briarwood Puppeteers Donate To Cattle Relief In Colorado
Briarwood puppeteers Rebecca Howard and Lori McFarland sent a three dollar donation to the Athens County Red Cross for starving Colorado cattle. In a letter they voiced sympathy and proposed buying straw or similar aid. They run weekly or monthly marionette shows charging five cents admission and donate proceeds to charity.

Honorary To Celebrate Anniversary At Ohio University
