City Mourns Coup Figures In Mosinee

Mosinee Wisconsin mourns two community leaders from last Monday's mock Communist coup. Mayor Ralph Kronenwetter died from a cerebral hemorrhage after being seized by Red troopers at dawn. Man Killed As Car Rams Tractor-Trailer

In Cleveland a car crashed into a parked steel tractor-trailer. Passenger John Draper 42 of Bowling Green died. Driver James Nicholson 32 of Bedford Ohio had minor head injuries. Truck driver Edward Swank 43 of North Lima was unhurt. Nicholson said he braked 20 feet from the rear and skidded into the trailer after stopping to pour radiator water.

Fire destroys Rimouski after 30 hour blaze

A forest of chimneys and smoke marked Rimouski Quebec as a 20 million dollar fire wiped out a third of the town on the St. Lawrence River. The lumber yard blaze left more than 300 houses a hospital a theater two hotels and the county courthouse burned. No deaths were reported though 2000 residents were displaced by the wind driven fire. Light snow aided exhausted firefighters in containment efforts as winds subsided.

Dog Bites 12 Children in Bronx School Yard

In a Bronx school yard a large dog attacked a crowd of about 400 students, biting 12 children ages 8 to 11 while others fled. Patrolman William Carr restrained the animal by the collar as teachers assisted, and the injured were taken to a hospital for treatment. The dog is held for rabies testing.
