Visiting mothers of chapter members attended a brunch hosted by Phi Delta Theta Auxiliary on Saturday. Thirty guests and 11 members joined the event with Mrs Maxwell Ferguson as general af fair chairperson assisted by Mrs Carl Wilson and Mrs Lawrence Shields. At the brunch table presiding were Mrs Carl Miller new auxiliary president and Mrs Margaret Coleman chapter housemother. Mrs John W Stewart registered guests and Mrs Howard Mills oversaw card and washcloth sales.
Area 4-H news reports multiple clubs meeting at homes and schools. Projects covered include sewing basket basics, project books, and planning committees. Events include officer installations, bake sale set for April 26, pot luck dinner April 30, and community project discussions.
Mr and Mrs Homer Brown and Mr and Mrs J G Hope attended Veterans Day in Chillicothe. The Hopes visited Mrs Hope's brother Fred Harper Sr a WWI veteran and nephew Fred Harper Jr a WWII veteran. Hospitals hosted bands from Southeastern Ohio high schools and the Ohio University Band in a parade along with antique cars.
