In Middleport a 74 year old man Dale E Miller was found dead in his basement around 10 30 am Wednesday in an apparent homicide. Law enforcement from Meigs County Sheriff s Office Middleport Police Department and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation sought the victim s truck after the discovery. Tips at the scene led officers to believe Gary Michael was involved.
Snowville Creamery plans to switch to A2/A2 cows for health reasons, saying nine local farms were told three years ago of the change. Several farmers and Amy Boyd Allen Dairy Farm argue the transition is costly and unfair, with seven farms reportedly told they are no longer needed and milk markets tightening amid reduced prices. The dispute centers on delaying herd changes and finding funds to replace stock while volumes fall.
