President Lyndon B. Johnson is set to speak at 12 15 p m from Ohio University Memorial Auditorium in Athens Ohio. A 12 car motorcade will move from Peden Stadium through downtown to the campus with Gov James A Rhodes and state officials aboard. Police will tow vehicles parked along the parade route and no parking will be allowed as part of Secret Service precaution.

Fire destroys Skyline Bowling Lanes in Gallipolis
The Skyline Bowling Lanes on U S Route 35 west of Gallipolis burned after an explosion and fire Tuesday afternoon. Damage reached 409000, with 275000 to the structure and 134000 to contents, partly insured. Four engines and 20 volunteers fought the blaze amid low city water pressure, with the roof collapse ending the fight after 2 a.m. No customers were present. Abe Phillips and two employees were in the trophy room when the blast occurred.
