John Collins Retires From Logan Telephone After 43 Years
John G. Collins retires from Logan Telephone Co. after 43 years of service on May 1. Howard C. Slusher of Middlebourne succeeds him as manager. Slusher, former United Telephone Co. manager, also owns Inland Telephone Co. and helped organize Tyler County Bank. The company undertakes a $150,000 modernization including dial system installation and line rebuilding. Mrs. Collins also retires after 39 years of service.
