The Selective Service says a new draft plan is being prepared and will be announced before boards exhaust the 18 to 26 year old pool. For now no man over 26 in essential agriculture or war support is to be drafted, except volunteers or those in non essential work.
Mr and Mrs Harry J Hardwig of Los Angeles sue a local hospital for 500000 alleging their baby Patricia Lynn was swapped with a girl at birth. They claim shock and shattered nerves upon learning of the substitution after leaving the hospital last fall.

OPA officials in Los Angeles said Mrs. James Roosevelt would receive standard treatment for speeding once a conviction certificate arrives. OPA Attorney Eugene Breitenbach noted the San Francisco regional office sought a check on the Roosevelt case after a House committee inquiry, but no certificate had been sent to OPA headquarters yet.
In Hampton Roads a collision between the destroyer U S S Parrott and the merchant ship John Morton leaves three enlisted men dead and three others missing. The Navy disclosed the fatalities and missing persons today.
