Mail Carrier Magoon Drowned Near Stewarts Last Week
E R Magoon a mail carrier on the Star route from this place to New England was drowned Wednesday afternoon last week in Miller Run near here. The 40 year old man single son of Mrs Elsie Magoon of New England had ten years on the route. Heavy flood waters and swift current swept him and his horse from the bank and the buggy snagged on a log holding him under. His body was recovered near noon the next day and taken to New England for funeral services. The mail sack with letters was found later in a field washed by the current.

Japanese Students Leave College After Window Rock Incident
