Health Center Site Discussed by Athens County Commissioners
The Athens County commissioners consider building a new health center on the Athens County Fairgrounds or near O'Bleness Hospital with a $140,000 Appalachian Regional Commission grant. Ownership of the fairgrounds, lease terms, and a planned 1975 sewer-water project for The Plains influence site decisions. A May 15 hearing is planned for Judge Rose in the Trimble Two road dispute.

Explosion at OU Mill Street Apartments Injures Three
An Ohio University senior from Bellaire is in satisfactory condition after an explosion at Mill Street Apartments. Firecracker theory centers on Donald Kirt Tagert who sustained second and third degree burns and fractures. Also hurt were Nancy Sechrest and OU freshman Paul Scheele, with Sechrest treated and released and Scheele in good condition. Others in the apartment were uninjured. The blast drew multiple agencies and authorities to the scene as evidence was collected for analysis. Damage was described as moderate and confined to Apartment K-2 with the immediate area affected but no other campus structures damaged.
