Bandit Quartet Captured in West Virginia

Four suspected gang members linked to machine gun holdups across Ohio, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania were captured in Wheeling. Detained are William Montgomery of Pittsburgh, James Mulan, a Bloomfield boxer, James Borne of Detroit, and Billie Love, once from Marshall, Ohio. Police say the group used Love as a shield during a Neosho Missouri jail break. Guns including a Thompson submachine gun were seized. Roper Named U S Minister to Canada in Canada
