Washington March 30 The projected annual cost of the new tax program for a married man with one child and $5000 income is $101.41 compared with $45.70 under current taxes and $124.50 under the treasury plan. The itemized expenses include weekly long distance calls, theater outings, a $100 radio, a $600 car, daily letters, a $1000 bond, a baseball for a son and a camera for a daughter, drinks, matches, gum, a $250 refrigerator, and $20 yearly cosmetics.
Gay E How ard dies in Kansas City as reported by H N Burgett in Athens. He served 19 years with the Ohio Fuel Gas Co in Sugar Grove pump station duties and directed plant construction at Stewart Pomeroy and nearby towns. He later worked for Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line Co. He leaves a wife and two adopted children.
In Columbus Ohio opposition to diverting gasoline tax revenues for relief and a drive to pass a ten percent salary cut for state local officials and jurists frame the debate. Supports of the plan claim sixty signatures urging inclusion in the special session agenda as rural House members push to apply the cut to officials elected in November.

Horace EF Coleman senior and his wife and Horace Coleman Jr a missionary and his wife were found dead by carbon monoxide in a car in a Chicago garage after a warrant accusing the son of seduction circulated among police records. Miss Clara B McGill of Bloomington Ind provided affidavit details. The death followed public disgrace to the Quaker family from the serious charge.
