Urbana March 29 The Daily Stunt reports a poll of 3,992 University of Oneis students. A majority of men favor modification while most coeds oppose it. Of 2,105 voting yes 1,787 voted no. Votes favored prohibition 269 and enforcement 1,003. 3,134 supported modification and 431 supported repeal. few African and Asian students voted.
In Sioux City Iowa Leonard Barnholtz an 18 year old high school student was killed when Detective Leon Willer opened fire during a pursuit of a stolen automobile. Barnholtz who did not know the car was stolen was riding with a group of high school boys and girls when the driver Harry Deal admitted stealing the car ignored orders to halt.

McBride leader of the Anti saloon League Terms the criticisms a knockout blow to the wets. House Wet Bloc chair Linthicum plans probes into Canadian beer dispensing.
