Stadium Footers Underway for West Side at University
Construction on the first concrete for the university stadium began this week with 25 men building footers directed by Fred Beckler. Weather permitting the west side footers should be finished by week’s end, with columns and seating supports to follow as forms are prepared and poured. A second crew readies the playing field with top soil hauled from Coates Run area for grading and seeding. Prof. Bird notes most Bobcats home games next fall will be on the old Ohio Field except for three contests with Ohio Wesleyan Wittenberg and Miami.
