Friends and admirers staged a surprise tribute at Wahama High School in Mason West Virginia for Forrest L. Bachtel the retired Middleport High School athletic coach. A five foot oil portrait by Dwight Mutchler and a marble plaque reading Bachtel Stadium were presented. James Diehl highlighted Bachtels coaching career across Wahama and Middleport during a ten year span. The event featured family friends and WVWU players paying tribute to Bachtel with musical performances and ovations from 37 relatives and many local figures.

Jennie stayed close to the flames Trilby wandered into a neighbor’s yard Big Burma was found in a creek near the Palm property. The animals remain at the Pickaway County Fairgrounds for winter.
