Director Theodore Tangeman announced a broader state inquiry under the Eikenberry Law to classify institutions as sound, needing conservators, or to be liquidated. The Columbian Building and Loan in Columbus has deposits of 35 million dollars and remains under a depositors board. The department will proceed city by city due to limited staff.
