A new loading platform is expected at the Athens post office after a letter from Ormonde A Kieb, assistant postmaster general, notified Postmaster Francis Frebault that inspectors call for changes in mailing platform facilities and added workspace. W P Chadduck will visit Athens to plan the work, with a prior 1948 request to relocate operations to the west side to relieve traffic on S Congress Street.
