Logan County considers high bids for James Building demolition
Bids from five firms in three states for demolishing the James Building were deemed too high by Hocking County commissioners. They plan to re advertise with revised specs including hauling brick by the county highway department and possibly excluding demolition of a wall near Dr. C. F. Shank. The American Demolition Co. bid $14,400 led four others. Officials discussed parking plans for the cleared site and possible future county office space on the lot. They also explored funding for the West Logan sewage system and play money for recreation and regional projects.
