Egypt seeks to bolster Middle East policy via Polish Egypt arms report

The Foreign Office said Britain has secret reports that a substantial number of Egyptian officers and NCOs are undergoing military training in Poland at a Soviet base near Gdynia. About 200 personnel are trained in land sea and air operations with weapons, radar and submarines. Training stems from a 1955 Czechoslovakia arms deal and could affect UK policy amid ongoing Washington consultations. Egypt is set to receive up to 300 tanks, 200–300 jet fighters, 50 plus jet bombers and six submarines.

Ohio Maps Out Liquor Rulings

In Columbus the State Liquor Department will prepare new regulations to soften the effect of a Supreme Court decision ending the liquor permit freeze in place since 1949. Gov.
