Four Ohio University students narrowly escaped death when their car plunged into the Hocking River on W Union St. They escaped by breaking a window and swimming to shore with the aid of a bystander. Driver Larry Bank, 27, Pittsburgh, was treated for shock and fined 50 dollars. The other passengers were Cork Peters, Bob Weinland, and Emery Schaeffer.
