Miss Cecile Clark 82 of Athens lives on Richland Ave and cherishes children. A retired teacher who worked at the Athens County Children's Home and various local schools she recalls OU in 1907 and campus life. She moved to Columbus in 1925 returned to Athens in 1949 attends Richland Church and mentors through the Women's Christian Temperance Union. Grandmother to a five son family she enjoys reading yard work and carding friends while advocating adopting a family if alone.

Alexander Pin and Needle Pushers met at adviser Mrs. William James to discuss color theory and road cleanup as a committee project. Troop 152 held skating badge activities at Millfield rink. Troop 145 toured Ohio University Theater for dramatics badge. Troop 212 presented a play to meet dramatics requirements. Morrison's Troop 143 hosted Juliette Lowe Thinking Day for parents. Newly elected patrol leaders Jenny Gibson Nita Yun Jane Stemple installed. Troop 270 Beacon School baked cookies and served Brownie Troop 69. Troop 90 from West School planned St Patrick s Day party. Brownie Troop 6 cooked and made Valentine favors for Beacon School and donated 22 stuffed animals to a Navajo reservation for Project Hope. Brownie Troop 81 made Valentine favors for O Bleness Hospital. Inter troop social and service activities and badges continue across area. Adena Girl Scouts have had a busy year.
