Corning High's Railroaders eroded a 13 point deficit to beat Columbus Rosary 47 43 in the Class B Regional final. Jones led with 17 points, while Bobanich and Bill Garrison added 12 each as Rosary lost Wise to injury and failed to convert late chances. Fraze ysburg Red Raiders then defeated Proctorville 51 43 in the consolation game.

Nelsonville police investigated a minor collision at Canal and Hocking Streets Saturday. Evelyn M. Rosser, driving west on Canal, slowed for a nonoperational traffic light when a U-Drive-It truck from Columbus driven by Ernest S. Foley struck the rear of her car, causing slight damage. the truck was unharmed.
