City officials and five police officers witnessed a Lake Erie Chemical Co demonstration of a gas gun and projectiles in a vacant field near the waterworks. The device is shown to aid in dislodging barricaded armed individuals without causing injury. Chief J P Grogan says it could benefit the department as none within 50 miles possess such equipment. Lions Hear State Patrol Air Enforcement details
Lt. E. P. Webb outlined state highway patrol air activity to the Athens Lions Club. Training is conducted in Columbus and at posts to enforce aero nautical laws, investigate aircraft accidents and license issues, and monitor reckless piloting. Athens men fined for letting dogs roam during quarantine
William H. Dawson and D. L. Keffer of Athens were fined $10 and costs by Justice J. W. Bailey for permitting dogs to run at large in violation of a county quarantine. Affidavits were signed by County Dog Warden G. J. Tewksbury.

Robber Notes Spark Parking Meter Protest in Athens
An Athens citizen left a note on a parking meter reading I put 20 cents into this robber at 12 o'clock noon. Patrolman Harold E Shields replied with a second note on a parking ticket stating Robber was checked at 12 55 this date and found to be OK. The irate citizen and his nickel were expected at police headquarters soon.
