Auto Wreck Leads Officers To Make Raid Last Night
A Nash sedan owned by Russell Maple wrecked on Mill street at 11:15 p.m. prompted a raid on Harry Milliron’s Fast Union street home. Officers found 36 pints of whisky, four cases of home-brewed beer, twenty gallons of brew, and related items. Milliron fined 300 dollars plus costs for liquor possession and 100 dollars for intoxication. Bert Barnes 25 dollars and costs for intoxication. Tom Rosser 10 dollars and costs. Russell Maple 10 dollars and costs. Police said Maple drove the car when intoxicated. Rosser later aided arrest.

POMEROY, March 16. Dr. W H L Moore was taken into custody in Parkersburg and held for formal charges. Indicted by a Meigs county grand jury in 1924 on narcotic possession, Moore fled local bond forfeiture set recently.
