Gallipolis May Escape Flood Danger in Five Years
Gallia County engineer E N Leonard expects Gallipolis to be out of flood danger within five years aside from water over roads. He cites Monongahela and Allegheny flood control work and the Bluestone dam near Hinton as keys, with three or four Kanawha River dams needed to keep high water within banks and end flood threats.
