Easter Seals Drive Aids Crippled Children in Vinton County
In Vinton County Ohio Easter seals were mailed to support the Ohio Society for Crippled Children's drive. Dr H G Southard's health report covers January and February noting 14 crippled children under state care four not under state care but receiving treatment and six with no treatment. 31 personal conferences and 203 literature pieces distributed. One smallpox case and 14 scarlet fever cases. Field nurse visits totaled antepartum seven postpartum 89 infant care 35 school hygiene 6 communicable disease 28 tuberculosis 15 morbidity 5 venereal disease 11. Sanitation checks included two milk plant visits and inspections of private premises.
