Housing Plan Suggested To Boost Meigs Growth

Pomeroy attorney Fred Crow told the Pomeroy Chamber of Commerce that a housing project is essential to attract new industry and prevent residents from relocating downstream. The plan envisions two homes with room for 15 to 20 more, on land near the flood road between Middleport and Pomeroy, with annexation to Pomeroy as a potential prosperity boost. Mayor Legar supported the idea during a site tour, and discussions covered financing options including a corporation or loan method and possible government aid with rental implications.
