Mt Gilead Ohio funeral services were conducted Friday for John A Hobson a former Point Pleasant resident who died after a long illness at his home. Burial followed at Suncrest Cemetery. He married Nelli Gaskins and leaves three sons John A Hobson James L Hobson and George B Hobson. He was brother in law to Mrs Clyde Roush and Mrs Carl Linch and to several Lynch and Gaskins relatives.

West Virginia Carpenters Plan State Meeting March 17
The West Virginia Council of Carpenters will hold its state meeting March 17 in the local carpenter hall at 20.7 Main St. Delegates from locals across the state are expected to attend, with the meeting starting at 10 am. William Staddon, state president, will attend, and Miles Dowling announced the event yesterday. The Chemical Valley District Council meets tonight at 7:30 pm in the same hall, with St. Albans Local 128 Charleston Local 1207 and St. Albans Millwright Local 2430 represented. Basil R. Harrah of New Haven will preside.
