Washington March 7 U P Almost complete replacement of personnel of the Civilian Conservation Corps is expected this year under a new enlistment policy to admit about 200 000 new recruits. CCC Director Robert Fechner said the President directed that none of the 303 525 unemployed youths and veterans now in forest camps may stay beyond 12 to 15 months from their original enlistment. All members will be discharged on April 1 and may re-enlist for varying periods if they wish.
Residents said the State Liquor Board erred in geography when it moved the Mansfield liquor store from one side of the Public Square to the opposite side. The board cited proximity to churches, though five churches lie within two blocks of the square and are equally distant from both sites.

A sudden snow storm blamed for an American Airways plane crash near Petersburg Wisconsin, killing four men including Chicago Tribune aviation editor Nicholas Sexton. The victims were Walter Hail Gren pilot G H Waetjen of New York City and W H Bell of Columbus Ohio. The craft went down near Orval Altriz’s farm five miles from Petersburg while dodging heavy mist.
