Chauncey to Replace Board of Public Affairs with Administrator
Chauncey Village Council voted to abolish the Board of Public Affairs and appoint a single village administrator responsible to the council and mayor. The move aims to streamline waterworks and sewage plant operations, curb duplication of equipment and records, and clarify responsibility while prompting public support. The council notes recent street lights, road work, a new dump site, and $257,220 in federal grants for a sewage plant, with plans for future street improvements. Mayor supports the action.
