Ohio University commencement week featured the University Address by Hon. John J. Lentz on citizenship duties, a strong Baccalaureate message on social reform, and a robust literary contest. Alumni Day and a large faculty and student turnout underscored the university’s growth and civic focus.
The Glouster bank, opened a little over a year ago, shut Tuesday morning. Resources are about 75 000 to 80 000 dollars, deposits 55 000, cash on hand 5 000. Loans reportedly well secured. creditors seek writs of attachment as the Sabina bank also closed but is said solvent. The suspension will cause hardship to depositors needing funds, with a plan to pay all debts in time.
