Washington reports Point Pleasant West Virginia has moved from heavy to moderate labor surplus per new employment surveys. The change guides defense contract placements by federal agencies. Point Pleasant is among sites considered for a planned 1.2 billion dollar atomic plant in the Ohio Valley.

Rosser reenlisted last May to avenge his brother's death in February 1951 and reportedly killed at least 13 enemy soldiers in a solo assault.
A newlywed bride, Mrs. Beverly Jean Hatton Earhart, 18, was killed and her husband James G. Earhart, 19, seriously injured in an automobile crash five miles east of Marietta on Route 7. The couple, returning from a Baltimore honeymoon, left the road and struck a tree.

Funeral services planned for Laura Barr Shafter 80 a watercolor artist of Croton to be held Saturday in Johnstown Ohio. She died at her home Thursday her paintings shown in galleries in Washington Columbus Cleveland Zanesville and Youngstown.

George Donald Murphy seven year old son of Mr and Mrs George Murphy Jr of McClellan town Pennsylvania drowned Thursday at Devols Dam on the Muskingum River about five miles north of Marietta.
