Ohio Conservation and Natural Resources Commission adopted 1940 regulations ending the staggered hunting season experiment begun in 1989 to spread hunting and include rest periods. The vote opened fishing and lake leasing moves, expanding inland capacity by about 60 percent and adding 368 miles of shoreline and 16,000 acres of water.
