Driver Drops Cigaret Three Hurt In Crash
Three people injured Thursday night when an auto left Route 33 south of Athens. Driver Donald Dean Brown 20 and two passengers Oliver Walls 23 and Walter Campbell 17 suffered injuries and were taken to Sheltering Arms Hospital. Brown dropped a cigaret causing the crash.

The Ohio Controlling Board in Columbus announced tentative release of 14000 dollars to refurbish and convert the Athens post office for Ohio University use. The funds are part of 200000 dollars allocated to convert the building into university business offices replacing space from Ewing Hall slated for demolition for a new library.
