In Muskingum County authorities said Ronald Louis Smith 23 told the truth about accidentally shooting his wife Geraldine Sue 27 at their Zanesville home. Prosecutors noted a lie detector test supported his account that the shotgun discharged by accident while he feared prowlers. He pleaded innocent in Zanesville Municipal Court and was bound to the grand jury under $10 000 bond. Funeral services for Mrs. Smith were held in Chesterhill.
