Hocking Complaint Is Filed by Committee in Ohio
A five member committee of the Hocking County Bar Association filed a misconduct in office complaint against Judge Phil A. Henderson in the Hocking County Common Pleas Court. He is to be served in Miami Florida where he has stayed two months. If contested a hearing will decide if he may be barred from practicing law. The panel alleges Henderson aided a Race Horse Book gambling operation in Logan in 1944, faced a June 28 1943 arrest in Miami on a lottery charge, forfeited a 200 dollar bond, and admitted adultery in an alimony hearing. The committee was appointed by Judge Richard Cameron of Marysville who presided at a recent divorce hearing for Mrs Henderson. Members named were Rhea P Bangert C Wood Bowen George Christman Forest Weinrich and Herley Meyer. John W Bricker was the first Republican elected to three consecutive Ohio governorship terms.
