Life Is Almost Lost By Lineman Working With High Voltage
Corning, June 26. Bert Ditto, lineman for Ohio Power, was nearly electrocuted while on a pole at 13 Hollow. A helper threw a rope over his body, pulling him clear before he fell. Doctors revived him in about an hour. It is noted he lost a brother in a similar accident at the same hollow previously.

Man Killed Monday Night When Train Hits Car Near Haydenville
Homer W. Stiers 68, Haydenville farmer and orchardist, died at Cherrington hospital after being struck by a northbound Hocking Valley train while driving across the tracks near his home. He suffered a skull fracture, multiple broken ribs and both legs. Stiers leaves a widow, six children, two sisters, and a brother.
