OU will install ten charging stations on campus by summer’s end. Eight will serve students and employees charging personal EVs, while two will support a car sharing program for faculty and staff with university owned electric cars, per Marty Paulins, OU director of transportation and parking.
University officials plan dual charging stations at Stocker Center Peden Stadium Morton Hall the Human Resources Training Center and Baker Center. Students and OU employees must register for a permit and Park Mobile account to pay for parking with their phones. Chargers cost 75 cents per hour.

The Athens County Board of Developmental Disabilities voted to launch a formal investigation into Superintendent Eric Young. He remains on paid administrative leave since June 4, with a 30 day window for the committee to report and Young a 5 day response period before a board vote on termination. Acting superintendent is Beacon School principal Maryalice Turner.
Ohio University Student Union and Appalachia Resist gathered at the Shafer Street site early Tuesday to protest campus use of fossil fuels. About 35 members participated, according to the organizations' news release.
