Moscow reports a crowd of over 1000 Russians demonstrated near the U S Embassy in retaliation for Hungarian refugee protests at the U N and Soviet offices. Police restrained the crowd as one stone was thrown. Ambassador Thompson voiced no protest against peaceful assembly.

In Nashville Tennessee one year old Albert Hurt drowned after sliding from his bed into a mop bucket filled with water. His mother Mrs Albin E Hurt 17 said she paused briefly during cleaning and returned to find the infant head down in the bucket beside the bed. It was Albert's first birthday.

Gene Dalton 36 of South Zanesville survived burns from a liquid pressure system backfire that sprayed oil and sand, igniting machinery. Both men worked as truck drivers for Halliburton Oil Cementing Co.
