Hartford Clinches Ohio Valley League Title Early

Hartford built a strong lead in the Ohio Valley League standings with 10 wins and 1 loss, while Syracuse and New Era battled in a doubleheader. Syracuse dropped the opener 3-2 after a late rally by New Era, then Syracuse won 2-1 in extra innings in the second game. Hartford’s slim chance remains if West Virginia falters and New Era wins out.
