Sheldon Powell, 56, of 116 Monroe Street, died Sunday at Mount St. Mary Hospital after Saturday illness in a restaurant. A Nelsonville native and 1926 Nelsonville High School graduate, he was a longtime barber and active in local Masonic and Elks groups. Services and burial planned with Masonic and Elks rites. In a separate notice, Ella Duncan of Apple Grove dies, with funeral Tuesday at Beale Chapel Church and burial in the church cemetery.
