Gallipolis reports the sesquicentennial pageant manuscript by Mrs Marie Hope Hammond now at her Connecticut summer home. The director will return early in the week. parts will be voiced by actors and heard via amplifying system. A 5000 copy souvenir booklet printing is planned for July 2.

GALLIPOLIS Charged with firing a rifle at a neighbor known by the sobriquet of Jor Rusty Ted Harris is held in jail to face. Both are colored. Greene at the wharf last night and toured the city with the 100 passengers attending sessions of the Religious Science Seminar on board while en route from Cincinnati to Montgomery, W. Va, and return. Interesting points were visited for an hour and the visitors were profuse in thanks for the courses extended by the Chamber of Commerce and Automobile Club. TO ATTEND PARTY GALLIPOLIS Several Gallipolis friends plan to attend a party at the home of C. F. Besserer in Middleport Sunday honoring his 8th birthday. MEET AT CHURCH GALLIPOLIS Women s Christian Temperance Union met this afternoon in First Baptist Church for a routine program. TO GIVE EXCURSION GALLIPOLIS The steamer Senator will visit Gallipolis Point Pleasant and Pomeroy for excursion purposes Sunday afternoon.

Torrential rains flood the area as turtle growers report bayous rising two feet above normal, hindering catch of hatchlings. About 100 turtles were secured and placed in a city park pool to be sold as souvenirs amid the disruption. The tale notes a theater superstition about returning to a dressing room for a forgotten article after one has left.
