Prisoner Escapes After Striking Deputy in Jail Break
David F E Canter, confined in the local jail, knocked down Deputy Sheriff Harry Wycoff as he delivered supper last night. Wycoff was stunned and Canter escaped. the search continued this morning. Canter had been sentenced last Saturday to two and a half years at the Ohio Penitentiary for burglary and grand larceny and was to be transferred to Columbus today.
