Bill would create Ohio environmental protection agency
An Ohio House of Representatives environmental bill would form a new Environmental Protection Agency to absorb duties from the Health and Natural Resources departments, including water quality, sewage, solid waste, river basin planning, water monitoring, and permit issuance for dredging. It would establish an environmental board of review and a power siting commission over major power and gas projects.
