Ohio panel urges Athens County board resignations over education push
The Ohio Education Association panel found that attendance officer Robert Beckler and secretary Joan Burson harmed educational progress and urged resignations or dismissals. It commended Superintendent T. C. Porter for leadership and recommended expanding county office staff to improve services while stressing a need for unified board direction and written policies. The study, costing about 700 dollars, was not binding and was conducted at the request of Porter and local officials.
