New Pomroy City Solicitor Appointed By Mayor
Pomeroy local attorney F. H. O'Brien was appointed city solicitor by Mayor M. D. Hartley at the regular village council meeting Monday night. The appointment was confirmed as the village had been without a solicitor for about a year. A council vacancy remains after Ray Gibbs resigned to report to Springfield, Massachusetts for service as a machine gun instructor. The first reading of an amendment to the traffic ordinance classified crossing yellow lines as a misdemeanor, replacing prior reckless driving charges.
