Finances Top Problem For Sewer Completion
Mayor Sidney Spencer faces a funding hurdle as a 1946 bond funded 90 percent of the storm sewer plan runs dry. Officials consider using the general fund or unvoted bonds after a state inquiry concludes borrowing against current revenues is restricted and parking meter revenues cannot fund the project. The village proceeds with in house crews completing 24 and 30 inch lines in Monkey Run and Naylors Run, with larger 60 inch work pending Mulberry Avenue to the cemetery.
