Trustees Fail To Elect New President At Rio Grande College

Rio Grande College trustees considered about 200 applications for the presidency to fill the vacancy caused by William Lewton's resignation. All current faculty were re-employed, and the year’s presented president Lewis is said to have kept the college financially sound with a balanced budget. A substantial donation from a Friend of Lucia Bing was reported, though the donor's identity was not disclosed. The college issued its annual yearbook, dedicating it to Dr CE. Haler. Hammond and local events noted in Gallipolis and surrounding areas are mentioned with summer routines and amphitheater plans along the river.
